Join Certified Cicerone and Mooney's owner Hal Mooney for a guided blind tasting of eight Oktoberfest beers. You'll taste each one without knowing what it is, rank your favorites, and then find out together which beers came out on top. Expect some surprises, and maybe a new favorite you would never have picked off the shelf.
During the tasting, Hal will walk you through the story behind Oktoberfest beer: where the tradition started, how the style has changed over the last 200 years, and what actually separates a Märzen from a Festbier from a Dunkel. You'll leave knowing how to drink beer better and how to talk about what's in your glass.
Dinner is included. We'll have pizza, pretzels, and bratwurst served buffet-style.
